There will be a change in the editorial team of the Nordkurier as of 1 April 2022: Editor-in-Chief Jürgen Mladek (53) will leave the editorial team to work in the same capacity for the Schwäbische Zeitung in Ravensburg (Baden-Württemberg) in the future. The Nordkurier Mediengruppe had merged with Schwäbisch.Media, the parent company of the Schwäbische Zeitung, to form the SV Group in summer 2021.
Mladek's successor as Nordkurier editor-in-chief is his previous deputy Gabriel Kords (33; photo). He has been working for the Nordkurier for twelve years, his career began in the Nordkurier editorial office in Anklam. Born in Rhineland, he came to Greifswald in 2008 to study history, politics and public law and has lived in the region ever since. He also worked for other media such as dpa and "Die Zeit" for a time and has been deputy editor-in-chief at Nordkurier since 2018.
In the digital area, Gabriel Kords will be supported by Steffi Dobmeier, previously deputy editor-in-chief of the Schwäbische Zeitung. Dobmeier will play a key role in shaping the digital development of the entire SV Group as Head of Digital Strategy and Products.
The SV Group, headquartered in Ravensburg, Germany, employs around 2,500 people in six federal states. With its portfolio, the company covers the entire range of media and media-related services and focuses on regional and local information in terms of content. The core products are the Schwäbische Zeitung and the Nordkurier. The digital platforms of the two titles together reach up to 20 million visits per month. The SV Group also owns subsidiaries in the printing and logistics sectors, among others.
