Carsten Schönebeck will take over the position of deputy editor-in-chief at the Nordkurier on 1 February 2023. This position had been vacant since the previous owner Gabriel Kords was appointed editor-in-chief on 1 April 2022.
Carsten Schönebeck (38) started as a trainee for the Nordkurier media group in Anklam in 2011. Among other things, he worked as a reporter in Waren, chief reporter in Anklam and in the editorial management for Vorpommern. In 2018, he moved to the Nordkurier central editorial office in Neubrandenburg as managing editor, where he continued to be primarily responsible for local affairs. He was responsible for many important change processes, such as the establishment of the central Nordkurier regional desk.
Carsten Schönebeck's move to the new position is part of the ongoing change processes in the editorial office, which will align it even more consistently with digital work and thus make it fit for the future. The effects of these change processes will become apparent in the coming weeks, among other things, in the launch of our website nordkurier.de which has been completely redesigned both technically and visually.
