Thanks to the association "Demminer Heimatverein" for keeping alive the memory of an esteemed colleague. Nordkurier chief reporter Georg Wagner, who died way too soon at the age of 59, impersonated honest, factual and neutral journalism for more than a quarter of a century. Now the analog photo archive of the Demmin local editorial office, which was handed over to the local history society a year ago, is being renamed to "Georg Wagner Archiv". "To keep the memory of Georg Wagner as a great leader of the Demmin local editorial office alive," as association head Karsten Behrens emphasized.
